Prepare and mix suitable meal, removing metal and hard contaminants. The feeder supplies material steadily; it does not replace grinding or mixing. “Dry extrusion” still requires controlled material moisture.
The motor drives the screw. Compression, friction and shear change the material as it moves through the barrel. At the die, the pressure drop can create an expanded structure; the cutter forms pellets. Temperature and pressure must follow the delivered configuration, not a general article.
Pellets still need appropriate drying, cooling and packing. Extrusion alone does not mean the feed will float or meet nutrition and storage requirements.
Educational overview, not a complete operating procedure. Follow the instructions and training for your delivered configuration. Never bypass guards or open a pressurized head. Trained personnel must isolate all energy and verify residual energy is safe before cleaning or maintenance.
